ABOUT INSPYRE
Our Mission Statement
Inspyre Plus was founded in February 2016 by John Brazener and Karen Dooley who have worked in
social care for a combined 20 year plus, working with children in need of support and help. Inspyre Plus provide a wide range of support to promote the well-being and development of children and young people (CYP) to provide positive opportunities for some of the most vulnerable CYP in our education and care system. We are open 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.
We provide a range of Mentoring Support, Social Care Support, Education Support, and other Professional Services, as outlined in the PROVISION OF SERVICES.
Our direct work focuses on supporting children and young people who experience difficulty with communication and interactions with other people; symptoms that impact their ability to function properly in school, work, and other areas of life; and difficulty learning or using facilities. Our responsive care and support enable children and young people to access services, realise and fulfill their potential and enjoy themselves. All provision aims to equip children and young people with personal life skills and development ready for their personal next steps and independence.
We respect and promote people’s differences, challenge oppressive discriminatory attitudes and behaviour and actively encourage children and young people to develop the ability to live and positively participate in a diverse society. They are encouraged to believe in themselves; ask questions; initiate communication and meaningful engagement; use descriptive language; repair communication and relationships breakdown; build resilience; and seek confirmation. They are given
opportunities to make positive changes and choices; to maintain independence and interests or explore new ones. Our aim is simple; to ensure each child and young people's experience with Inspyre Plus is individually tailored, positive and highly beneficial to their identified needs and own plans for the future.
Our Objectives
Through working together we endeavour to develop the child or young person’s support network and promote their own participation by providing opportunities for them to take responsibility for their actions relating to behaviour, risk-taking, interpersonal skills, development and wellbeing.
Despite the Provision of Service, our objectives are consistent and simple:
To provide a prompt, efficient and informed response to referrals for services, include emergency requests.
To ensure each child and young person’s support and care needs are effectively provided for in conjunction with relevant support networks and professionals.
To listen to and respect each child and young persons’ views, wishes, and feelings whilst supporting them to express themselves and to work towards agreed incentives, goals, and targets.
To act in the best interest and promote the physical and mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.
To help children and young people gain access to, and make the best use of, all services provided.
To prepare and regularly review each child and young person’s Support Arrangements, to ensure the document remains accurate, working in their best interests and meeting the objectives of the service request. Also providing and promoting their involvement.
To empower and promote high aspirations for each child and young person to seek and secure the best outcomes.
To respect and promote people’s differences, challenge oppressive and discriminatory attitudes and behaviour. Children and young people will be actively encouraged and supported to develop the ability to live, and positively participate, in a diverse changing society.
To provide and maintain environments and relationships with the team which are accessible, safe, open and pleasant.
To ensure children and young people are safe, and have stability in their home lives, relationships, and education or work.
To provide opportunities for each child and young person to engage in activities; establish a trusting rapport with the team of staff; to be empowered, educated and inspired to develop as individuals and make positive life choices; to build self-esteem and resilience.
To prepare each child and young person for adulthood and independent living.
